چکیده

CO₂ emitted from building materials and the construction materials industry has reached about 67 million tons. Controls on the use of consumed fossil fuels and the reduction of emission gases are essential for the reduction of CO₂ in the construction area as one reduces the second and third curing to emit CO₂ in the construction materials industry. In this study, a new curing method was addressed by using a low energy curing admixture (LA) in order to exclude autoclave curing. The new curing method was applied to make panels. Then, its physical properties, depending on the mixed amount of fiber, type of fiber and mixed ratio of fiber, were observed. The type of fiber did not appear to be a main factor that affected strength, while the LA mixing ratio and mixing amount of fiber appeared to be major factors affecting the strength. Applying the proposed new curing method can reduce carbon and restrain the use of fossil fuels through a reduction of the second and third curing processes, which emit CO₂ in the construction materials industry. Therefore, it will be helpful to reduce global warming.

An Analysis on the Forming Characteristics of commercial pure Aluminum AA 1100 in Radial-Forward Extrusion Process

Abstract: In this paper, the forming process of a central hub by radial-forward extrusion is analyzed by using the finite element software, ABAQUS. Radial-forward extrusion is used to produce hollow parts that generally feature a central hub with radial protrusions. Effective design factors such as mandrel diameter, die corner radius, die fillet radius, mandrel corner radius, tube wall thick...

Investigation of Ca in the Microstructural Evolution and Porosity Analysis of ZK60 Alloy in As-Cast and Extruded Conditions

This research work has been carried out to study the effect of different Ca contents (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0) on the microstructure and porosity content of ZK60 alloys. The samples were examined by using optical and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to evaluate the modification efficiency of the alloy with different Ca concentrations. The cast specimens were modified, homogenized and extru...

Analysis of Axisymmetric Extrusion Process through Dies of any Shape with General Shear Boundaries

In this paper, a generalized expression for the flow field in axisymmetric extrusion process is suggested to be valid for any dies and the boundary shapes of the plastic deformation zone. The general power terms are derived and the extrusion force is calculated by applying upper bound technique for a streamlined die shape and exponential functions for shear boundaries. It is shown that assuming...

اکستروژن سه بعدی به روش میدان خطوط لغزش

Many metal forming problems have been solved using the slip line field method but all of them have either been two-dimensional (plane strain or plain stress) or axisymmetric problems. In this paper a procedure has been proposed by which the slip line field solution to three dimensional problems of metal forming becomes possible. For this purpose the extrusion of shaped sections has been taken a...

Grafting of Maleic Anhydride onto Co)propylene-b-ethylene( by Extrusion Process: Measurement of Adhesion to Steel Surface

Polypropylene (PP) has poor adhesion to metals and other surfaces for its chemical structure. Hence, chemical modification of PP is necessary for metal surface coating application. In this research, grafting of maleic anhydride (MA) onto co(propylene-b-ethylene) in the presence of a dicumyl peroxide (DCP) was accomplished in a single screw extruder. Characteristics of the modified polymer were ...
